Dune: Part Two’s record success is close to $500 million at the global box office.

Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi sequel Dune Part Two is moving fast. He is close to achieving a remarkable milestone at the global box office. With impressive worldwide ticket sales of $494.7 million, including $208 million from North America and $289.4 million from international markets, the film is poised to cross the $500 million mark by Monday. Only a few films have reached this level before.

Leading the 2024 Box Office

Despite being early in the year, Dune Part Two has already established itself as the highest grossing film domestically and globally. Within 10 days of its release, Part Two has surpassed its predecessor’s domestic earnings. That was 108 million dollars. Part two saw a strong turnout internationally with notable success in markets such as China ($36 million), the U.K. ($32.8 million), Germany ($25 million), France ($24.9 million) and Australia ($15.6 million).

Positive word of mouth and audience interest in experiencing the film in premium formats has contributed to its continued success as everyone is appreciating it. Over the weekend, Dune Part Two crossed $100 million from Imax screenings alone, becoming the seventh-fastest film to achieve the milestone.

Warner Bros. And Legendary Entertainment co-produced and financed Dune Part Two, with a production budget of $190 million and approximately $100 million for worldwide promotion. But the film has proven itself. The year 2024 has achieved very bad success.
