London is gearing up for the glitz and glamor of the 2024 BAFTA Awards, where Oppenheimer has emerged as the leading contender with an impressive 13 nominations. It has grossed over a billion dollars and won major awards at prestigious events such as the Golden Globes and Critics’ Choice Awards.
A number of silver screen stars are expected to attend the ceremony, with Oppenheimer nominated for best director for Christopher Nolan and Emily.
Irish actor Cillian Murphy is a strong contender to win his first Best BAFTA for his portrayal of J. Robert Oppenheimer.
BAFTA Awards 2024 already has a shortlist of 13 nominees and all of them will be attending, but the biggest news for viewers is that Prince William is also expected to make royal connections at the BAFTAs. It is not a personal decision to attend as president but it is expected that he will also attend.

Along with ‘Oppenheimer’, ‘Poor Things’ leads the pack with 11 nominations, while other contenders such as ‘Barbie’ and Martin Scorsese’s ‘Colors of the Flower Moon’ are in the running in various categories.
